Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
